The TechforAll Mission

Tech for All makes available to individuals in the community the means to become skilled and competent in computer use; we do this by gathering donations, collecting and reconditioning used equipment, identifying qualified recipients and placing the appropriate equipment with them solely for their use and at no charge.

2011= an extraordinary year. Volunteers were more productive than ever. The computer output was unprecedented. 841 computers were adopted in 2011. WOW!!

Mark Stevenson was our "dedicated APPLE" man...in 2011 we had 83 Apples adopted. Now? We have NO APPLES!

2011 was a remarkable year!

CHECK OUT OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS!!

Tech for All has gone international. Through our relationship with African Bold Leaders (boldleaders.com), 30 leaders have returned toTanzania, Uganda and Kenya with their computers.

We have also sent 60 'freshened' computers to a college lab in a Burundi community through the Tech for All relationship with the Colorado Coalition for African Empowerment in April 2011. These computers were FULLY FUNCTIONAL with monitors, keyboards and "mice." Another 176 computers found their way to Burundi in September 2011.

Read more about T4A School partnerships - now FIVE students a week at Littleton High School receive home computers that are coordinated with their school computer system. Bradley International School students are also receiving home computers.

Tech for All has replaced computers for students at the Escuela Tlatelolco to have at their home. We will place 50 computers by the end of May. More to come on this blossoming project! Check out this local Denver school at escuelatlatelolco.org

YALE DAY OF SERVICE
...Let's do it again!.

Recycling Electronics Collection, Saturday October 29, 9:00am - 12:00pm

Give us your tired, your unused, your huddled electronics yearning to be recycled.

If you want to donate stuff but can’t come on October 29, please call Chris Citron (Yale ‘71), 303-777-2242 or email her at BookingDenver@msn.com .

Please bring your donations, whether or not you want to stay and volunteer! Donation receipts will be given. Tech for All ( a local non-profit organization) rebuilds computers and gives them to needy people, after properly clearing off any data on the computers. All materials will be properly recycled locally (not sent overseas).

Our collection event last May was a great success and we collected over two and a half tons of electronics that will not be dumped in landfill!

Volunteers are needed! Families are welcome. Volunteers will help unload donated equipment from donors' cars (including computers, laptops,keyboards, monitors,televisions, cell phones, chargers, etc.),and will help write receipts and sort materials.

This is a project of the Colorado Yale Association, the Ivy Plus Leadership Forum For Denver, and the St. John’s Cathedral Green Team, in conjunction with Tech for All.
