The TechforAll Mission
Tech for All makes
available to individuals in the community the means to become skilled
and competent in computer use; we do this by gathering donations,
collecting and reconditioning used equipment, identifying qualified
recipients and placing the appropriate equipment with them solely
for their use and at no charge.

Tech for All pone
a la disposición para individuos en la comunidad la oportunidad
de convertirse en personas calificadas y competentes en el uso
de computadoras; recoge donaciones, recolecta y reacondiciona
equipos usados, identifica beneficiarios calificados y coloca
el equipo adecuado exclusivamente para su uso y sin ningún
costo.
Tech for All charges
NO administrative or service fees to recipients of computers.
As of 10/1/11 with over 3500 given to individuals, not one recipient
has spent 1¢ with T4A to acquire their PC.
Cost = $0. The ONLY
THING we ask is to meet the recipient (not a parent, not a friend,
not a truck driver). These meetings REWARD and ENERGIZE our volunteers.
The Tech for All foundation thrives
through the energy and leadership
of Rose Keating and the support of ourmany devoted sponsors,
angels and volunteers. Please patronize our sponsors and thank
our angels and volunteers when you see them. Consider joining
us in this worthwhile mission. Click

She started on a shoestring and a smile....and
a kind of 'little girl' optimism that doing something small could
make something big happen. Never mind there were no funds and only
a kitchen table full of computer parts with nowhere to go. That was
1999. And that was Rose Keating.
Ten years later, Tech For All is a leader in computer restoration,
and a testament to the yearning that lies in all of us: to help change
lives for the better, to re-use materials that have value, and to
be among the good people who do good works.

In the short span of a decade, Tech For
All has given out over 2200 refurbished computers, now averaging 15
to 20 computers a week. These go to children whose families cannot
buy the tools that will prepare them for school and subsequently,
the job market. With advances in technology, Tech For All has had
to dig deeper into our meager coffers to buy RAM to upgrade these
machines, something we did not have to buy in previous years. Money
from recycling parts does not cover expenses any longer.
And now, what are the challenges that lie ahead?
- Money. Every donation goes
to equipment.
- Volunteers. This is a hands-on,
hearts-on endeavor.
- Equipment. Companies and
individuals must donate used computers.
*If you prefer, buy some RAM at Action Computers and bring it
to Tech For All.
